Washing (Handle with Care)
Don't Over Wash: Air it out between wears. Only wash when soiled or smelly.
Use Cold Water: Hand wash in a clean sink with cold water and a mild/wool-specific detergent.
No Agitation: Gently squeeze the soapy water through; do not wring, rub, or twist.
Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse with clean, cold water until the soap is gone.
Drying (Lay Flat)
Press Water Out: Lay the sweater on a clean, dry towel. Roll the towel and sweater together, pressing gently to absorb excess water. Never wring.
Dry Flat: Lay the sweater flat on a dry rack or a new, dry towel.
Reshape: Gently smooth it into its original shape while damp.
Never Hang: Hanging a wet knit will stretch and distort the shape. Avoid direct sunlight or high heat.
Storage
Always Fold: Store sweaters folded flat on a shelf or in a drawer. Never hang on a hanger, as this stretches the shoulders and length.
Moth Protection: Use cedar blocks or lavender sachets to naturally deter moths, especially for wool knits.
